Taxi to Rotterdam Markthal: Blaak is the useful landmark

The Markthal is next to Rotterdam Blaak station, not Rotterdam Centraal. This matters when guests arrive for a food tour, meet colleagues or arrange a return after dinner. Use the actual Markthal address—Ds. Jan Scharpstraat 298—rather than a generic 'Rotterdam centre' destination.

Find the correct entrance area

Markthal's visitor information identifies Blaak station immediately beside the building and a car park beneath it. A taxi should use a lawful stopping point in the surrounding streets, not the entrance ramp to the garage as an improvised passenger pickup. If a restaurant has its own entrance, agree which side of the building to meet.

Combine a city visit without confusing locations

The Cube Houses and Oude Haven area are nearby, but the Euromast and Wilhelminapier are different parts of Rotterdam. If the itinerary includes several locations, enter each planned stop before a fare is agreed. A city-centre label alone cannot define the route.

Set the return point before dining

After a busy evening, use the same named street corner or a clear alternative rather than asking the driver to circle the building. The booking form calculates the journey for the entered address and vehicle. Any waiting or onward transfer is a separate arrangement.
