Taxi to the Afsluitdijk: choose a real stopping point
The Afsluitdijk is a long causeway, not a single attraction with one front door. Travellers from The Hague or elsewhere may be visiting a water-management exhibition, meeting a group or continuing towards Friesland. The intended stop should be named before a taxi journey is booked.
Book your ride
Book your taxiKornwerderzand is a practical visitor destination
The Afsluitdijk Wadden Center lists Afsluitdijk 1c, 8752 TP Kornwerderzand as its address. It presents the story of the Wadden Sea and Dutch water engineering and also has facilities for groups and meetings. A visit there is different from simply crossing the dyke. Check the centre's current opening days and any road access information before fixing an arrival time.
A stop on the dyke is not automatically possible
Do not ask the driver to stop on a roadway or at an unapproved viewpoint. If the purpose is photography or a visit to another site, identify a lawful stopping location. An organised group may have a particular entrance or gathering point; obtain that information from the organiser. A continuation to Harlingen or Friesland should be included as part of the route, not assumed to be part of a simple return.
Set the itinerary before booking
Enter the departure and the Wadden Center address in the booking form. The live fare depends on the actual journey and vehicle. A sightseeing pause or later pickup must be arranged explicitly; the taxi does not automatically remain available throughout the visit.
